School Trips

outdoors, fun and educational!

One of a kind trips!

Our self-guided trails invite students to explore Warsaw’s history, people, and stories in an engaging and playful way. Pupils work in teams of three, each receiving a colourful trail pack with maps, riddles and clues. As they navigate the route they discover statues, plaques and hidden corners while completing fun challenges — solved clues fill a themed crossword that brings the story together.

Trail packs are currently available in English, with three routes to choose from:

  • The Royal Route (Krakowskie Przedmieście) — ideal from age 10.

  • Two Wilanów routes — designed for younger explorers from age 6.

All trails are crafted to captivate both students and staff!

This spring we’re launching the Time Tunnel trail, a new route that brings Warsaw’s recent history to life. The journey moves from WWII — including the Warsaw Ghetto and the Warsaw Uprising — through the Soviet era and into today’s vibrant, modern city. Time Tunnel is recommended for students aged 10 and above.

These are self-guided experiences, not guided tours. A Discover Warsaw Trails representative will be present at the start and finish, but student supervision remains the responsibility of school staff. Ideally, one adult supervises two teams of three. Teams set off in different directions to keep engagement high — after all, nothing dampens enthusiasm faster than watching others solve the clues first!

We also create bespoke trails to suit your needs. Our very first adventure was a customised school trip for the British School in Warsaw and it was a great success. If you’re curious, we’d love to present our trail packs to you in person — with no obligation. Our trails are one of a kind and an unforgettable way to learn about Warsaw.

Royal Route Trail

Ready, set, adventure! Turn your school trip into a captivating journey along Krakowskie Przedmieście — one of Warsaw’s most beautiful and historic streets. Discover grand palaces, elegant churches, and monuments celebrating Poland’s greatest icons: Fryderyk Chopin, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Adam Mickiewicz.

Students form teams of three and receive colourful trail packs with maps, riddles, and clues. Teams follow the map, spot statues, plaques, and hidden nooks, and complete playful challenges; solved clues fill a themed crossword. Mid-route, enjoy a charming park perfect for a snack break.

Educational, active, and full of surprises — a trip that turns history into play.

Wilanów Community Trails

Two one-hour self-guided trails in Wilanów — playful, educational, and perfect for curious kids (and adults).

Wilanów Palace Trail winds around the palace grounds past a dazzling Baroque church, a mysterious mausoleum, charming statues, and lively cultural spaces. Young detectives will discover legendary Polish figures — from King Sobieski to sporting heroes — and uncover the palace’s secrets from the outside.

Klimczaka Trail explores New Wilanów’s vibrant streets to find outdoor libraries, quirky local landmarks, and the nickname of Warsaw’s largest church. Along the way students meet iconic personalities like Queen Marysieńka and Pope John Paul II, and learn about inspiring community initiatives.

Both trails: self-paced, one hour, maps and clues included — learning, exploring, and solving mysteries with a smile.

“I was delighted with the trail produced as it allowed us to make real life history accessible to the children and encouraged them to engage with and see the historical value in their local area….. I’d recommend Therese to any teacher looking for an engaging and meaningful way to take learning outdoors and to make outstanding use of the local area in Warsaw.”
