One of a kind trips!
Our self-guided trails invite students to explore Warsaw’s history, people, and stories in an engaging and playful way. Pupils work in teams, each receiving a colourful trail pack with maps, riddles and clues. As they navigate the route they discover statues, plaques and hidden corners while completing fun challenges — solved clues fill a themed crossword that brings the story together.
Trail packs are currently available in English, with six routes to choose from:
Royal Route (Krakowskie Przedmieście) — two versions available, ages 7 to 9 and from age 10
Time Tunnel (Muranów to Centre) - from age 10
Pollution Solutions (New Wilanów)- from age 8
Three Wilanów routes — two versions available, ages 6 to 9 and from age 10
All trails are crafted to captivate both students and staff!
These are self-guided experiences, not guided tours. A Discover Warsaw Trails representative can be present at the start and finish, but student supervision remains the responsibility of school staff.
We also create bespoke trails to suit your needs. We’ll provide a tailored quote based on your requirements.

Step into the changing landscape of New Wilanów—an area that was green fields in 1999 and is now a fast-growing part of the city. As you explore, you’ll spot the towers of the Siekierki Power Station in the distance—an important energy source that is now working towards reducing its impact on the environment.
Follow the clues to investigate real-life solutions that help make urban areas greener and more efficient. You’ll learn about eco-friendly transport like green tram lines and electric buses, as well as community initiatives—from food-sharing fridges that reduce waste to recycling programmes supported by McDonald's, and nesting towers designed to support migratory birds.
By the end of the trail, you’ll have explored how individuals, communities, and cities can all play a role in building a cleaner, more sustainable future.

The Time Tunnel Trail offers an educational 2-3 hour journey through the city’s rich and complex past, spanning from the hardships of WWII through the stories of the communist era and into today’s vibrant, modern city. Whilst looking for answers to clues in the historical buildings and monuments, you’ll visit poignant sites related to the Warsaw Ghetto and Warsaw Uprising. The trail begins near the stunning Polin Museum, which brings history to life, and ends at the iconic Palace of Culture & Science, a towering symbol of communism, juxtaposed with the sleek, modern skyscrapers that define today’s vibrant business district.
This journey through time challenges young adventurers and grown-ups alike to piece together clues while uncovering the unforgettable, recent story of Warsaw.

Three one-hour (or 1 and a half hours) self-guided trails in Wilanów — playful, educational, and perfect for curious students (and adults).
Wilanów Royal Trail winds around the palace grounds past a dazzling Baroque church, a mysterious mausoleum, charming statues, and lively cultural spaces. Young detectives will discover legendary Polish figures — from King Sobieski to sporting heroes — and uncover the palace’s secrets from the outside.
Wilanów Klimczaka Trail explores New Wilanów’s vibrant streets to find outdoor libraries, quirky local landmarks and the nickname of Warsaw’s largest church. Along the way students meet iconic personalities like Queen Marysieńka and Pope John Paul II, and learn about inspiring community initiatives.
Wilanów Plaża contrasts Wilanów’s historic past with its modern-day facilities. Explore the historic cemetery, home to a 200-year-old mausoleum and the graves of heroes who fell in the Warsaw Uprising, then stroll through New Wilanów’s recreational ‘Plaża’ — where dogs have a playground too! Discover how Warsaw and the local council are tackling air pollution with electric buses and air-quality monitors.

“During the last week, classes from our school followed the environmental trails through Wilanów. Both, year 4 with the trail in English, as well as year 3 with the German version - ages between 8 and 11 years old - had a lot of fun and although there was the big heat, they did not get tired of searching for the next clues. Luckily, there were a lot of water sprinklers on the way and nice places to rest and take a break. They all knew the area well before, but learned to see it from a completely different angle, discovering details that fitted into the big picture. I highly recommend the trails in small groups of about 5 kids also for older year groups.”
